The purpose of this policy is to clearly state how Helsinki intends to meet its obligations under the Privacy Act and related laws, the Australian Privacy Principles (‘APPs’) set out in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) (‘Privacy Act’) in relation to the personal data it collects from all its Australian customers.
Our Privacy Policy details the sort of information Helsinki may collect about you, how Helsinki manages, uses and discloses your personal information, sets out some of your privacy rights in relation to personal information and advises how you can contact us with privacy queries.
Helsinki recognises the trust you place in our company through your dealings with us and we do everything we can to maintain that trust, and we will only use your personal information in a manner consistent with this policy.

Collection of Personal Information

We will not collect any sensitive information. Information of a sensitive nature is defined as information regarding your racial or ethnic origin, political opinions or associations, religious or philosophical beliefs, trade union membership or associations, sexual orientation or practices, criminal record, health or genetic information or some aspects of your biometric information.
From time to time, Helsinki may collect information from you on behalf of our clients. Our clients’ privacy policy applies in respect of information collected on behalf of our clients and you should refer to our clients’ privacy policies in this regard.
Use and Disclosure of Information
Helsinki will generally only use and disclose your personal information if the disclosure is necessary to answer your enquiry or request, to supply you with goods and/or services requested, or to complete the services we provide.
When Helsinki collects personal information from you, we will use it for the reasons we collected it and for other reasonable business purposes, which may include:

Storage and Security
Any information that we no longer use for the purposes contained in this policy is destroyed. A small access fee may be payable to provide this information. We may provide you with this information verbally or in writing, as may be appropriate. If you would like a copy of the information held on you, please send an email to our Privacy Officer (details can be found at the base of this document).
We will take reasonable steps to amend or correct your personal information to keep it accurate and up to date. If you believe that any information we hold about you is incorrect or incomplete, please write or email us as soon as possible (details can be found at the base of this document). We will promptly correct any information found to be incorrect.
Under the Privacy Act and other relevant laws, we are required to provide a written response outlining our reasons if we refuse your request. Where we decide not to make a requested correction and you disagree, you may ask us to add a note of your requested correction to the information that explains your correction request.
In limited circumstances, and only where it is permitted under the Privacy Act, we may not be able to provide access to information: for example, where it would have an unreasonable impact upon the privacy of others or where we believe your request is frivolous or vexatious.
